One of our most talented young illustrator/writers, Polly Dunbar studied at Brighton Art School and now lives and works in London. Author and illustrator of Dog Blue, shortlisted for the British Book Design and Production Awards 2005, and Flyaway Katie, Polly’s the daughter of distinguished author Joyce Dunbar with whom she collaborated on the picture book Shoe Baby.

She has also illustrated the glorious first book of poetry Here’s a Little Poem edited by Andrew Fusek Peters and Jane Yolen, about which The Sunday Times wrote: “This lovely book deserves a place in every playgroup and child’s library.”

  
   Her picture book Penguin won the Booktrust Early Years Award in 2008, an award which
   celebrates the range of books being published today for babies, toddlers and pre-school
   children. It was also short-listed for the Red House Children’s Book of the Year Award.
   This award is voted for entirely by children.
